Le transport de la grue jusqu'au site impliquait de parcourir une route forestière difficile de 6 km avec dix virages en épingle à cheveux, nécessitant des conditions météorologiques spécifiques et des camions-remorques courts.
Le projet a marqué la première collaboration entre Wolffkran Austria et Kostmann GesmbH, avec le transport, le montage et le démontage réussis de la grue.
« Plus c'est fort, mieux c'est », telle était la devise de Kostmann GesmbH lorsqu'il s'agissait de sélectionner une grue pour éliminer les sédiments du réservoir de Roßwiese pour le compte de VERBUND Hydro Power GmbH. L'entreprise de construction autrichienne a trouvé son bonheur avec Wolffkran, qui a envoyé fin juin l'un de ses modèles les plus puissants, le WOLFF 8060.25 Cross, à une altitude de 1 200 mètres.
Avec une capacité de levage maximale de 25 tonnes et une capacité de charge de pointe de 14 tonnes pour une longueur de flèche de 50 mètres, il est conçu de manière optimale pour transporter des auges de grue pesant jusqu'à 18 tonnes avec des matériaux excavés du réservoir au site de stockage. Ainsi, près de 20 000 mètres cubes de matériaux sédimentaires ont été déplacés en moins d'un mois.
Le réservoir avait accumulé une couche de sédiments de plusieurs mètres d'épaisseur, qui a été enlevée par une excavatrice. Le WOLFF 8060.25 Cross a transporté les auges de grue avec jusqu'à 18 tonnes de sédiments jusqu'à la zone de stockage.
L'accès au chantier s'est avéré particulièrement difficile. Les pièces de grue en provenance de Vienne ont dû être rechargées dans la vallée. Seuls les camions équipés de remorques courtes peuvent emprunter la route forestière de 6 km avec dix virages en épingle à cheveux qui mène au réservoir à 600 mètres d'altitude, et ce seulement après au moins trois jours de temps sec ! Le transport et le montage complexes ont duré trois jours et ont une fois de plus posé des défis à l'équipe autour de David Pucher, directeur du site de Kostmann GesmbH, à la fin des travaux de grue.
Wolffkran Austria a réussi à convaincre Kostmann comme nouveau client pour ce projet. « L'équipe Wolffkran nous a non seulement fait une offre très intéressante, mais a également veillé à ce que le transport, le montage et le démontage de la grue se déroulent sans problème, malgré la situation difficile du site », explique David Pucher. À la mi-août, la WOLFF 8060.25 a été démontée avec succès et ramenée à Vienne.

The crane, with a maximum lifting capacity of 25 tons and a tip load capacity of 14 tons at a 50-meter jib length, moved nearly 20,000 cubic meters of sediment in under a month.
Transporting the crane to the site involved navigating a challenging 6-km forest road with ten hairpin turns, requiring specific weather conditions and short trailer trucks.
The project marked the first collaboration between Wolffkran Austria and Kostmann GesmbH, with successful transport, erection, and dismantling of the crane.
“The stronger, the better” was the motto of Kostmann GesmbH when it came to selecting a crane to remove sediment from the Roßwiese reservoir on behalf of VERBUND Hydro Power GmbH. The Austrian construction company found what it was looking for in Wolffkran, which at the end of June sent one of its most powerful models, the WOLFF 8060.25 Cross, to operate at an elevation of 1,200 meters.
With a maximum lifting capacity of 25 tons and a tip load capacity of 14 tons at a jib length of 50 meters, it is optimally designed to transport crane troughs weighing up to 18 tons with excavated material from the reservoir to the deposit site. As a result, nearly 20,000 cubic meters of sediment material were moved in less than a month.

Access to the construction site proved to be particularly challenging. Crane parts coming from Vienna had to be reloaded in the valley. Only trucks with short trailers can traverse the 6-km forest road with ten hairpin turns that leads up 600 meters in altitude to the reservoir – and only after at least three days of dry weather! The complex transport and assembly took three days and once again presented the team around David Pucher, site manager of Kostmann GesmbH, with challenges at the end of the crane work.
Wolffkran Austria was able to win Kostmann as a new customer for this project. “The Wolffkran team not only made us a very interesting offer but also ensured that the transport, erection and dismantling of the crane went off without a hitch, despite the challenging location of the site,” says David Pucher. In mid-August, the WOLFF 8060.25 was successfully dismantled and returned to Vienna.

Het reservoir had een laag sediment van enkele meters dik verzameld, die door een graafmachine werd verwijderd. De WOLFF 8060.25 Cross transporteerde de kraangoten met maximaal 18 ton sediment naar de stortplaats.
De toegang tot de bouwplaats bleek bijzonder uitdagend. Kraanonderdelen uit Wenen moesten in de vallei worden overgeladen. Alleen vrachtwagens met korte opleggers kunnen de 6 km lange bosweg met tien haarspeldbochten doorkruisen die 600 meter omhoog leidt naar het stuwmeer – en dat pas na minstens drie dagen droog weer! Het complexe transport en de montage duurden drie dagen en stelden het team rond David Pucher, locatiemanager van Kostmann GesmbH, aan het einde van het kraanwerk opnieuw voor uitdagingen.
Wolffkran Oostenrijk wist Kostmann als nieuwe klant voor dit project binnen te halen. “Het Wolffkran-team deed ons niet alleen een zeer interessant aanbod, maar zorgde er ook voor dat het transport, de montage en de demontage van de kraan vlekkeloos verliepen, ondanks de uitdagende locatie van de locatie,” aldus David Pucher. Medio augustus werd de WOLFF 8060.25 succesvol gedemonteerd en teruggebracht naar Wenen.
