Volvo CE a inauguré de nouvelles installations à Arvika, en Suède, pour soutenir la production de chargeuses sur pneus électriques.

Le nouveau site fait partie de l'investissement stratégique de Volvo CE visant à réduire les émissions de carbone et à atteindre 35 % de ventes de machines électriques d'ici 2030.

Le prince Carl Philip de Suède a assisté à l'inauguration, visitant les installations et testant la chargeuse sur pneus Volvo L110.

L'installation de 1 500 m², construite avec un investissement de 65 millions de SEK, gérera la phase finale de production et les essais de conduite des visiteurs.

Arvika a déjà réduit son empreinte climatique interne de 350 tonnes de CO2 grâce à divers efforts de réduction des émissions.

L'investissement s'aligne sur la stratégie mondiale de Volvo CE visant à faire progresser les solutions électriques et à soutenir la transformation durable de l'industrie.

La transition industrielle a fait un autre bond en avant passionnant alors que Volvo CE inaugure de nouvelles installations pour soutenir la production de chargeuses sur pneus électriques dans son usine d'Arvika, en Suède.

Il s’agit de la prochaine phase de l’investissement stratégique mondial de l’entreprise dans des solutions durables, afin de réduire les émissions de carbone pour les clients.

Il s’agit d’une nouvelle étape dans son parcours de transformation et d’un signal de la manière dont Volvo CE prend des mesures pour devenir entièrement sans énergie fossile d’ici 2040 et atteindre 35 % de ventes de machines électriques d’ici 2030.

Le nouveau site amélioré a été accueilli royalement avec la visite du prince Carl Philip, membre de la famille royale suédoise et duc de Värmland, où le site est situé.

Le bâtiment ultramoderne d’Arvika est le dernier développement du site suédois spécialisé dans la fabrication de chargeuses sur pneus de moyenne et grande taille. Mesurant environ 1 500 m² et construit en moins d’un an après un investissement de 65 millions de SEK (6,3 millions de dollars) en 2023, il permet au site de libérer des zones à l’intérieur de son usine existante pour la production de chargeuses sur pneus électriques. Désigné comme site de production, c'est là que les chargeuses sur pneus viendront pour la dernière étape du processus de production et où les visiteurs pourront tester les dernières machines fraîchement sorties de la chaîne de montage.

Le prince Carl Philip a non seulement visité les nouvelles installations et rencontré les personnes qui mènent la transformation à Arvika, mais a également testé la Volvo L110, l'une des chargeuses sur pneus produites sur place. Cela faisait partie d'un événement organisé le mercredi 4 septembre par l'agence gouvernementale suédoise Länsstyrelsen. Volvo CE has inaugurated new facilities in Arvika, Sweden, to support the production of electric wheel loaders.

The new site is part of Volvo CE's strategic investment to reduce carbon emissions and achieve 35% electric machine sales by 2030.

Prince Carl Philip of Sweden attended the inauguration, touring the facilities and testing the Volvo L110 wheel loader.

The 1,500 sq m facility, built with a SEK 65 million investment, will handle the final production stage and visitor test drives.

Arvika has already reduced its internal climate footprint by 350 tons of CO2 through various emission reduction efforts.

The investment aligns with Volvo CE's global strategy to advance electric solutions and support sustainable industry transformation.

The industry shift has taken another exciting leap forward as Volvo CE inaugurates new facilities to support the production of electric wheel loaders at its plant in Arvika, Sweden.

It represents the next phase of the company’s strategic global investment into sustainable solutions, to drive down carbon emissions for customers.

It is another step in its transformation journey and a signal of how Volvo CE is taking action to be entirely fossil free by 2040 and achieve 35% electric machine sales by 2030.

The new and improved site was given the royal welcome with a visit by Prince Carl Philip, a member of the Swedish royal family and Duke of Värmland, where the site is located.

The state-of-the-art building in Arvika is the latest development for the Swedish site which specializes in manufacturing medium and large wheel loaders. Measuring approximately 1,500 sq m and constructed in less than a year following an investment of SEK 65 million ($6.3 million) in 2023, it allows the site to free up areas inside its existing factory for the production of electric wheel loaders. Designated an after flow facility, it is where wheel loaders will come for the final stage in the production process and where visitors can test drive the latest machines fresh from the assembly line.

Prince Carl Philip not only toured the new facilities and met the people who are driving the transformation in Arvika, but also tested out the Volvo L110, one of the wheel loaders being produced there. It was part of an event on Wednesday, September 4, hosted by Swedish government agency Länsstyrelsen. His royal highness was joined by all employees at the site, who have all played an important part in supporting this accelerated transformation.

Melker Jernberg, Head of Volvo CE, said: “This new facility is an inspiration for a future built on sustainable solutions. We are proud to be at the forefront of industry change with large-scale investments, not just here in Arvika but around the globe, that support a transformation towards electrification. Together, we are moving closer towards fossil-free machines.”

The unveiling comes in the middle of a milestone year of product and service launches for Volvo CE, proving that the company is walking the talk when it comes to enabling sustainable change for customers.

While this represents the first step in electrification for the site, Arvika has already moved to reduce its internal climate footprint by 350 tons of CO2 through a variety of emission reduction efforts in recent years.

Mikael Liljestrand, General Manager at Arvika, said: “Action on climate change is nothing new to us here in Arvika, but it is incredibly exciting to see our vision come to life with these new facilities. We now have the framework in place to drive electrification and expand our growing global portfolio of electric wheel loaders. Volvo CE heeft nieuwe faciliteiten geopend in Arvika, Zweden, ter ondersteuning van de productie van elektrische wielladers.

De nieuwe locatie is onderdeel van Volvo CE's strategische investering om CO2-uitstoot te verminderen en 35% elektrische machineverkoop te bereiken in 2030.

Prins Carl Philip van Zweden was aanwezig bij de opening, bezocht de faciliteiten en testte de Volvo L110 wiellader.

De 1.500 m² grote faciliteit, gebouwd met een investering van SEK 65 miljoen, zal de laatste productiefase en testritten voor bezoekers verzorgen.

Arvika heeft zijn interne klimaatvoetafdruk al met 350 ton CO2 verminderd door verschillende emissiereductie-inspanningen.

De investering is in lijn met Volvo CE's wereldwijde strategie om elektrische oplossingen te bevorderen en duurzame industriële transformatie te ondersteunen.
