La société énergétique publique Saudi Aramco (également connue sous le nom de Saudi Arabian Oil Company) a livré les contrats dans le cadre d'un accord à long terme avec Saipem.

Saipem a déclaré que le champ d'application des travaux dans le cadre du premier contrat comprend l'EPCI de trois modules de pont de production (PDM), 33 km de pipelines rigides sous-marins de 12 et 16 pouces de diamètre et 34 km de câbles électriques sous-marins sur le champ pétrolier et gazier de Marjan dans le golfe Persique.

Le deuxième contrat porte sur l'EPCI de trois vestes, cinq PDM, 22 km de pipelines rigides sous-marins de 16 pouces de diamètre, 5 km de pipelines flexibles sous-marins et 35 km de câbles électriques sous-marins sur les champs pétroliers de Zuluf et Safaniyah, également dans le golfe Persique.

« La fabrication liée aux projets sera exécutée sur le chantier de fabrication saoudien de Saipem, Saipem Taqa Al-Rushaid Fabricators, dans le but d'accroître et de développer les capacités de l'industrie locale », a déclaré Saipem.

 Saipem, an Italy-based global provider of engineering and construction services for the energy and infrastructure segments, announced two projects across three offshore oil and gas fields in Saudi Arabia.

Both involve EPCI (engineering, procurement, construction and installation) work at a total value of US$1 billion, the company said. State-owned energy company Saudi Aramco (also known as Saudi Arabian Oil Company) delivered the contracts under a long-term agreement with Saipem.

Saipem said scope of work under the first contract involves EPCI of three production deck modules (PDM), 33km of subsea rigid 12-in- and 16-in-diameter pipelines and 34km of subsea power cables at Marjan oil and gas field in the Persian Gulf.

The second contract involves EPCI of three jackets, five PDM, 22km of subsea rigid 16-in-diameter pipelines, 5km of subsea flexible pipelines and 35km of subsea power cables at Zuluf and Safaniyah oil fields also in the Persian Gulf.

“The fabrication related to the projects will be executed at Saipem’s Saudi fabrication yard, Saipem Taqa Al-Rushaid Fabricators, aiming to increase and develop the capabilities of local industry,” said Saipem.

Beide omvatten EPCI-werk (engineering, procurement, construction en installation) met een totale waarde van US$ 1 miljard, aldus het bedrijf. Het staatsenergiebedrijf Saudi Aramco (ook bekend als Saudi Arabian Oil Company) leverde de contracten onder een langetermijnovereenkomst met Saipem.
