Les sociétés de location américaines Synergy Equipment et Opifex Enterprises vont combiner leurs activités, a-t-on annoncé.
L'accord verra Avance Investment Management, un investisseur privé qui a investi pour la première fois dans Synergy en 2022, acquérir Opifex.
Il créera également la plus grande société indépendante de location d'équipements sur les marchés de la Floride et du Texas.
Fondée en 2018, Opinex a son siège social à Austin, au Texas, et possède également des sites à San Antonio et Bryan-College Station.
Elle exploite une flotte qui comprend des plates-formes élévatrices, des chariots élévateurs, des excavatrices, des pompes et des chargeuses sur pneus.
Parallèlement, Synergy a été créée en 2012 à Tampa, en Floride, pour se concentrer sur tous les segments du marché en expansion de la Floride.
La société exploite 17 succursales dans l'État de Floride, cinq en Géorgie et une en Alabama.
En plus de proposer des ventes d'équipements, le portefeuille de location de l'entreprise comprend des nacelles élévatrices, des nacelles à ciseaux, des générateurs et des bulldozers.
L'accord, qui fait partie d'un plan d'Avance et Synergy visant à accélérer la croissance dans le sud-est des États-Unis, devrait marquer la plus grande acquisition réalisée par Synergy et Avance.
La société fusionnée conservera les marques Synergy et Opifex dans leurs régions respectives, dans le but d'assurer la continuité pour les clients.
Un comité de direction composé de cinq personnes réunissant les dirigeants des deux entreprises guidera la vision stratégique de la société fusionnée à l'avenir.
Le PDG de Synergy, JC Mas, dirigera le comité de direction aux côtés du PDG d'Opifex, Jay Vaughn III, rejoint par d'autres dirigeants clés des deux équipes, dont le président d'Opifex, Stefan Gresham.

US-based rental companies Synergy Equipment and Opifex Enterprises are to combine operations, it has been announced.
The deal will see Avance Investment Management, a private invester that first invested in Synergy in 2022, acquire Opifex.
It will also create the largest independent equipment rental company in the markets of Florida and Texas in the process.
Founded in 2018, Opinex is headquartered in Austin, Texas, and also has locations in San Antonio and Bryan-College Station.
It operates a fleet that includes aerial platforms, forklifts, excavators, pumps and wheel loaders.
Meanwhile, Synergy was established in 2012 in Tampa, Florida, to focus on all segments of the expanding Florida market.
The company operates 17 branches across the state of Florida, five in Georgia and one in Alabama.
As well as offering sales of equipment, the company’s rental portfolio includes aerial boom lifts, scissor lifts, generators and dozers.
The deal, which is part of a plan from from Avance and Synergy to accelerate growth across the southeastern US, is said to mark the largest acquisition completed by Synergy and Avance.
The combined company will retain the Synergy and Opifex brand names within their respective regions, with the aim of ensuring continuity for customers.
A five-person management committee that brings together leadership from both businesses will guide the strategic vision of the combined company going forward.
Synergy Chief Executive Officer JC Mas will lead the management committee alongside Opifex Chief Executive Officer Jay Vaughn III, joined by other key leaders from both teams, including Opifex President Stefan Gresham.
Catalyst Strategic Advisors served as the exclusive transaction advisor to Opifex.
