BMF Port Burgas AD a commandé deux grues portuaires mobiles Konecranes Gottwald ESP.9 de génération 6, marquant ainsi son premier investissement dans des unités neuves.

La commande a été passée au premier trimestre 2025, et la livraison est prévue au quatrième trimestre 2025.

BMF collabore avec Konecranes depuis 12 ans. Initialement, elle a investi dans des grues d'occasion, puis les a modernisées pour réduire leurs émissions.

Les nouvelles grues, d'une capacité de levage de 150 tonnes chacune, amélioreront les performances du terminal et soutiendront la croissance du volume de fret de BMF.

L'investissement de BMF s'inscrit dans la vision « Ecolifting » de Konecranes, axée sur la réduction de l'empreinte carbone et l'amélioration des avantages environnementaux.

L'extension comprend un nouveau poste d'amarrage en eau profonde au terminal ouest de Burgas, augmentant ainsi la capacité pour les navires de plus grande taille et les cargaisons plus lourdes.

BMF et Konecranes ont débuté leur collaboration il y a 12 ans, lorsque l'opérateur portuaire bulgare a investi dans quatre grues portuaires mobiles Konecranes Gottwald d'occasion. En 2016, deux de ces grues ont été modernisées avec des alimentations externes afin de réduire les émissions de gaz d'échappement et les coûts d'exploitation sur site. BMF a étendu cette modernisation réussie à ses deux autres grues portuaires mobiles en 2021.

Le client franchit désormais une nouvelle étape vers la réduction des émissions en investissant pour la première fois dans deux grues portuaires mobiles Konecranes Gottwald ESP.9 flambant neuves. Chacune d'elles offre une capacité de levage de 150 tonnes, portant les performances de manutention du terminal à un niveau inédit. Poursuivant sa démarche d'électrification, BMF a choisi d'équiper ses deux ponts roulants d'une alimentation externe dès le départ.

« Nos équipements Konecranes existants ont prouvé leur fiabilité et leur efficacité depuis plus de dix ans, répondant à nos attentes à chaque étape. Nous sommes ravis d'avoir franchi le cap de l'investissement dans deux ponts roulants flambant neufs, améliorant ainsi considérablement nos performances en matière de manutention de marchandises de projet et de conteneurs », déclare Nikola Kosev, chef de projet chez BMF.

BMF Port Burgas agrandit sa flotte d'équipements pour accompagner la croissance des volumes de fret. L'opérateur a aménagé un nouveau poste d'amarrage en eau profonde à son terminal ouest de Burgas, offrant une capacité accrue pour les navires de plus grande taille et les marchandises plus lourdes. Cet investissement renforce la position de BMF en tant que prestataire logistique clé pour la région de la mer Noire.

BMF Port Burgas AD has ordered two Generation 6 Konecranes Gottwald ESP.9 Mobile Harbor Cranes, marking their first investment in new units.

The order was placed in Q1 2025, with delivery expected in Q4 2025.

BMF has a 12-year history with Konecranes, initially investing in pre-owned cranes and later retrofitting them for reduced emissions.

The new cranes, each with a 150-tonne lifting capacity, will enhance terminal performance and support BMF's growth in freight volumes.

BMF's investment aligns with Konecranes' Ecolifting vision, focusing on reducing carbon footprints and increasing environmental benefits.

The expansion includes a new deep-water berth at Burgas West Terminal, boosting capacity for larger vessels and heavier cargo.

BMF Port Burgas AD (BMF), one of Bulgaria’s largest port operators, has ordered two Generation 6 Konecranes Gottwald ESP.9 Mobile Harbor Cranes. The order was booked in Q1 2025 and handover is expected in Q4 2025.

BMF and Konecranes started working together 12 years ago, when the Bulgarian port operator invested in four pre-owned Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes. In 2016, two of these cranes were retrofitted with external power supplies to reduce onsite tailpipe emissions and operating costs. BMF extended this successful retrofit to its other two mobile harbor cranes in 2021.

The customer is now taking another step towards lower emissions with a first-time investment in two brand-new Konecranes Gottwald ESP.9 mobile harbor cranes. Each has a lifting capacity of 150 tonnes, bringing the handling performance of the terminal to an entirely new level. Continuing its electrification approach, BMF has opted to equip both cranes with an external power supply from the outset.

“Our existing Konecranes equipment has proven its reliability and efficiency for more than a decade – meeting our expectations every step of the way. We’re excited to now reach the milestone of investing in two brand new cranes, significantly boosting our performance in handling both project cargo and containers,” says Nikola Kosev, Project Manager at BMF.

BMF Port Burgas is expanding its equipment fleet to support growth in freight volumes. The operator has developed a new deep-water berth at its Burgas West Terminal, with increased capacity for larger vessels and heavier cargo. The investment reinforces BMF’s position as a key logistics provider for the wider Black Sea region.

Elk heeft een hefvermogen van 150 ton, wat de verwerkingsprestaties van de terminal naar een geheel nieuw niveau tilt. Om de elektrificatieaanpak voort te zetten, heeft BMF ervoor gekozen om beide kranen vanaf het begin uit te rusten met een externe voeding.

"Onze bestaande Konecranes-apparatuur heeft zijn betrouwbaarheid en efficiëntie al meer dan tien jaar bewezen - en voldoet bij elke stap aan onze verwachtingen.
