L'Alliance Open-S annonce un connecteur électrique standardisé, compatible MiC 4.0, destiné à être utilisé entre les coupleurs automatiques et les outils de travail, notamment les tiltrotateurs avec connexions électriques. Ce développement permettra une interchangeabilité transparente des coupleurs de machines, des tiltrotateurs et des outils de travail de tous les membres d'Open-S, éliminant ainsi le besoin de connecteurs spécifiques à chaque marque. Parallèlement, l'alliance se développe avec l'adhésion du fabricant italien d'accessoires Indeco en tant que membre associé.

Open-S, l'alliance industrielle pour les coupleurs automatiques, présente le connecteur électrique Open-S V14 comme solution commune compatible avec le protocole MiC 4.0. Ce connecteur durable et hautes performances assure une interopérabilité transparente entre les coupleurs de machines, les tiltrotateurs et les outils de travail de différents fabricants, faisant progresser les normes ouvertes pour les engins de chantier.

Le connecteur Open-S V14 est doté de 14 broches de contact à ressort, assurant une transmission électrique fiable et une forte capacité de courant. Il est conçu pour résister aux environnements exigeants du terrassement. Son mécanisme autonettoyant garantit une connexion sûre et fiable entre la machine et l'outil de travail. De plus, le câble TPE/PUR offre une flexibilité, une résistance à l'huile et une durabilité supérieures dans des conditions difficiles, tandis que les contacts en bronze phosphoreux durci offrent une excellente résistance à la corrosion et une longue durée de vie.

Du côté du bras de la machine, le connecteur électrique Open-S V14 s'intègre parfaitement au point de connexion compatible MiC 4.0. Le lancement officiel du connecteur électrique Open-S V14 aura lieu à la Bauma. Cette initiative s’inscrit dans la mission de MiC 4.0 : permettre une interopérabilité cohérente et indépendante des fournisseurs entre les engins de chantier et les systèmes numériques.

Le groupe de travail Machines dans la construction MiC 4.0 est un réseau et un comité central européen qui travaille à un langage numérique uniforme pour les engins de chantier et à une compréhension identique du contenu et de la signification des données. L’objectif est de parvenir à une interprétation inter-machines indépendante du fabricant et à une communication complète des données numériques d’état des machines et des processus de construction. Les fabricants peuvent faire valider leurs engins de chantier comme étant conformes à la norme MiC 4.0, permettant ainsi à leurs opérateurs de bénéficier d'une compréhension standardisée des données à l'échelle mondiale.

The Open-S Alliance announces a standardized MiC 4.0-compliant electrical connector for use between automatic couplers and work tools, including tiltrotators with electrical connections. This development will enable seamless interchangeability of machine couplers, tiltrotators, and work tools from any Open-S member, eliminating the need for brand-specific connectors. At the same time the alliance grows further with Italian attachment manufacturer Indeco joining as an Associate member.

Open-S, the industry alliance for automatic couplers, introduces the Open-S V14 electrical connector as a common solution to support the MiC 4.0 protocol. This durable and high-performance connector enables seamless interoperability between machine couplers, tiltrotators, and work tools from different manufacturers, further advancing open standards in construction machinery.

The Open-S V14 connector features 14 spring-loaded contact pins, ensuring a reliable electrical transmission with strong current capabilities, built to withstand the demanding environment within the earthmoving industry. With its self-cleaning mechanism it guarantees a secure and reliable connection between the machine and the attached work tool. Additionally, the TPE/PUR cable offers superior flexibility, oil resistance, and durability in harsh conditions, while the hardened Phosphor Bronze contacts provide excellent corrosion resistance and long service life.

On the machine arm end, the Open-S V14 electrical connector seamlessly integrates with the MiC 4.0-prepared connection point. This eliminates compatibility concerns, allowing all Open-S members to provide interchangeable machine couplers and work tools without requiring brand-specific connectors.

The Machines in Construction MiC 4.0 working group is a network organization and central committee in Europe that deals with a uniform digital language for construction machinery and an identical understanding of data content and its meaning. The aim is to achieve manufacturer-independent, cross-machine interpretation and comprehensive communication of digital machine status and construction process data. Manufacturers can have their construction machinery validated as “MiC 4.0-compliant”, so that in future it will be possible for operators of these machines to have a globally standardized understanding of data.
