Le dernier rapport Egnyte a révélé que le secteur de l'architecture, de l'ingénierie et de la construction (AEC) connaît des changements importants dans son paysage de gestion des données.

Le rapport AEC Data Insights 2024 met en évidence les changements dynamiques dans les pratiques de stockage, de sécurité et de collaboration des données que les professionnels du secteur adoptent.

Le dernier rapport sur les tendances se concentre sur le passage du secteur AEC des solutions de stockage et de collaboration locales aux solutions cloud, qui aurait connu une croissance exponentielle au fil des ans.

Les besoins en stockage de données des entreprises interrogées ont augmenté à un taux de croissance annuel moyen composé de 50,3 %.

Egnyte affirme que cette tendance a commencé pendant la pandémie, mais les entreprises ont continué la transition vers le cloud à mesure qu'elles ont réalisé ses avantages.

Le rapport souligne également que le secteur de la construction représente 60 % des problèmes informatiques récurrents dans le secteur de l'AEC.

« Les informations que nous avons tirées du rapport de cette année reflètent les conversations que nous avons quotidiennement avec les entreprises de l’AEC. Les entreprises s'appuient davantage sur la collaboration numérique pour accomplir leur travail - une tendance qui ne montre aucun signe de ralentissement », a déclaré Ronen Vengosh, vice-président senior des solutions industrielles chez Egnyte.

« Leur dépendance accrue à la collaboration dans le cloud et au stockage de fichiers, associée à la fréquence élevée des menaces de cybersécurité auxquelles ces entreprises sont confrontées, souligne la nécessité de solutions de collaboration dans le cloud sécurisées et fiables.

Le rapport Data Insights d'Egnyte analyse les modèles d'utilisation des données de plus de 4 000 entreprises opérant dans le secteur AEC. Le rapport vise à fournir des informations précieuses sur la manière dont les entreprises s'appuient actuellement sur la collaboration cloud et sur la manière dont ces besoins devraient évoluer à l'avenir.

Les résultats sont basés sur les données de la clientèle d’Egnyte, qui comprend des entreprises représentant chaque étape du cycle de vie du projet AEC.

The latest Egnyte report has revealed that the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is experiencing significant changes in its data management landscape.

The 2024 AEC Data Insights Report highlights the dynamic shifts in data storage, security, and collaborative practices that industry professionals are adopting.

The latest trends report focuses on the AEC industry’s shift from local to cloud storage and collaboration solutions, which is said to have seen exponential growth over the years.

The surveyed companies’ data storage requirements have increased at an average compounded annual growth rate of 50.3%.

Egnyte says that this trend began during the pandemic, but companies have continued to transition to the cloud as they have realised its benefits.

The report also highlighted that the construction sector accounts for 60% of recurring IT issues in the AEC industry.

“The insights we gleaned from this year’s report reflect the conversations we have with AEC firms on a daily basis. Companies are relying more heavily on digital collaboration to get the job done - a trend that shows no signs of slowing down,” said Ronen Vengosh, senior vice president of Industry Solutions at Egnyte.

“Their increased reliance on cloud collaboration and file storage coupled with the high frequency of cybersecurity threats these firms encounter highlights the need for secure, reliable cloud collaboration solutions.”

The Data Insights Report by Egnyte analyses the data usage patterns of more than 4,000 companies operating in the AEC industry. The report aims to provide valuable insights into how companies currently rely on cloud collaboration and how those needs are expected to change in the future.

The findings are based on data from Egnyte’s customer base, which includes firms representing every stage of the AEC project lifecycle.

Uit het laatste Egnyte-rapport blijkt dat de architectuur-, engineering- en constructie-industrie (AEC) aanzienlijke veranderingen ervaart in het datamanagementlandschap.

Het AEC Data Insights Report 2024 belicht de dynamische verschuivingen in gegevensopslag, beveiliging en samenwerkingspraktijken die professionals uit de industrie omarmen.

Het nieuwste trendsrapport richt zich op de verschuiving van de AEC-industrie van lokale naar cloudopslag- en samenwerkingsoplossingen, die naar verluidt in de loop der jaren een exponentiële groei heeft doorgemaakt.

De behoeften aan dataopslag van de ondervraagde bedrijven zijn toegenomen met een gemiddeld jaarlijks groeipercentage van 50,3%.

Egnyte zegt dat deze trend begon tijdens de pandemie, maar dat bedrijven zijn blijven overstappen naar de cloud omdat ze de voordelen ervan hebben gerealiseerd.
