GENIE ROUTE  fête ses 80 printemps en 2024. Une entreprise familiale les Dupont

La parole au président directeur Guy Dupont 3ème génération du nom, la quatrième déjà assurée par les enfants Ari & Guillaume Dupont.

COGETRA, fondée par mon grand-père Jean et mon père, Roger, le 10.10.1944 à
Velaines qui devint COGETRINA en 1948 quand papa commença le transport sur
l’Italie ... et devint GRAND GARAGE DU NORD, quand mon papa fit le choix de
continuer l’activité garage voitures et camions pour VOLVO et de revendre la société
et les licences de transport international à Fernand DUFOUR, grand-père des dirigeants en 1960.

Mais pour mémoire, c’est en 1954 que la société et ma famille avaient quitté Velaines
pour Tournai avec l’aide de Maurice Chaval.

En 1965, papa a construit dans le terrain de la gare, un garage voiture avec mon beau-père Henri Lechantre.

En 1989, nous avons acquis le terrain, ici chaussée de Bruxelles et j’ai construit en 1996, ce garage-ci ... inauguré le 13 mars 1998.

Je voudrais surtout vous dire la grande satisfaction et le plaisir que vous nous faites,
à notre famille mais aussi à tout le personnel de nos trois sociétés du groupe
DUPONT ... à savoir aujourd’hui, 99 personnes réparties sur les 4 sites, dont 23
personnes ici chez GGN actives.

Pourquoi Charleroi ?
En 1969, mon papa, pour vendre 16 camions à CCB, son ami, Jacques Plaquet,
pour Charleroi et Louvain La Neuve, a repris la concession de Charleroi et en 71,
acquis le terrain de Fleurus pour lancer la construction d’un nouvel atelier pendant
mon service militaire. Atelier qui fut ouvert le 8 janvier 1973 par moi-même et mon
épouse Stella, nous y avons habité 7 ans.

Ensuite, il y eut le rachat,
De Mons, M.T.I. créée en septembre 2000 à Mons et
Par la suite GENIE ROUTE a racheté le garage de Gaurain pour le génie civil et le
service à nos clients du Hainaut Occidental.

Notre activité principale est le vente et l’entretien du matériel VOLVO TRUCK et
FUSO donc de 3.5 Tonnes à 200 Tonnes et en génie civil, le matériel de VOLVO CE
et BOBCAT et VOLVO PENTA dont s’occupe Ari, les moteurs industriels et marins.

Nos ateliers sont intégrés à de nombreuses disciplines pour donner un service
optimum dans toutes les techniques utilisées dans nos camions et machines.

N’oublions pas le 4ème point de service poids lourds de notre secteur le garage JEAN-YVES GUERIN à Bailleux, qui est actif dans la botte de Chimay et service
VOLVO TRUCKS EUROPA agréé et FUSO.

Tous les 50 kms, il y a un atelier à votre service et ce, 6 jours sur 7, avec un
personnel formé et éduqué par VOLVO et FUSO, dans un programme annuel, très
suivi qui vous assure compétence, efficacité, diligence dans les interventions.

Nous couvrons un secteur, confié par VOLVO TRUCK et FUSO, qui va de Mouscron
à Hastière, à Spy, Louvain-La-Neuve, Enghien, Lessines ...
C’est un grand secteur : le Hainaut, un tiers de Namur et le sud du Brabant wallon.

Pour le service dépannage, nos mécaniciens assurent un service 24 heures sur 24, toujours prêts.

En 2023, nous avons plus de 238 ventes réalisées.
A fin d’année, en VOLVO, plus de 16 tonnes, nous obtenons 33 % de marché en porteur dans notre secteur et 25 % est notre objectif habituel depuis bien des années
mais en tracteur, nous avons terminé avec 28 % l’an passé.

Pour l’activité génie civil, nous travaillons au départ des ateliers de Fleurus et Gaurain avec 15 mécaniciens, dont 9 équipés pour les services et les entretiens sur site chez les clients.

C’est un grand secteur que nous portons à bout de bras, avec une équipe forte de sa formation mais aussi de sa connaissance ... celle de l’ancienneté avec des personnes jusque et plus de 40 ans de maison.

Mais, il y a des jeunes qui suivent, qui apprennent et qui grandissent dans ce métier dur, et nous sommes fiers de leur courage et de leur attachement à leur employeur mais aussi aux marques que nous représentons.

Ils y croient et nous aussi pour continuer à vous servir et rester à la hauteur de la confiance que vous nous faites ... et soyez assurés que la relève est là, courageuse, déterminée et prête à relever le défi du futur ... mais oui, après 80 ans avec VOLVO, nous allons persévérer, grâce à vous, chers clients, chers amis et à une usine ici en
Belgique qui, à Gand, assemble des châssis VOLVO, depuis 1964, usine qui fête ses 60 ans cette année, 46.724 véhicules par an dont 1.777 pour la Belgique. C’est la seule usine poids lourds implantée et la principale du groupe VOLVO en capacité de production.

GENIE ROUTE celebrates its 80th birthday in 2024. A family business, the Duponts.

The floor is given to the chairman and director Guy Dupont, 3rd generation of the name, the fourth already ensured by the children Ari & Guillaume Dupont.

COGETRA, founded by my grandfather Jean and my father, Roger, on 10.10.1944 in
Velaines which became COGETRINA in 1948 when dad started transporting to
Italy ... and became GRAND GARAGE DU NORD, when my dad chose to
continue the car and truck garage business for VOLVO and to resell the company
and the international transport licenses to Fernand DUFOUR, grandfather of the managers in 1960.

But for the record, it was in 1954 that the company and my family left Velaines
for Tournai with the help of Maurice Chaval.

In 1965, Dad built a car garage on the station grounds with my father-in-law Henri Lechantre.

In 1989, we acquired the land, here on Chaussée de Bruxelles and I built this garage in 1996... inaugurated on 13 March 1998.

I would especially like to tell you of the great satisfaction and pleasure that you give us,
to our family but also to all the staff of our three companies in the DUPONT group... namely today, 99 people spread over the 4 sites, including 23
people here at GGN who are active.

Why Charleroi?
In 1969, my dad, to sell 16 trucks to CCB, his friend, Jacques Plaquet,
for Charleroi and Louvain La Neuve, took over the Charleroi dealership and in 71,
acquired the land in Fleurus to start building a new workshop during
my military service. Workshop that was opened on January 8, 1973 by myself and my
wife Stella, we lived there for 7 years.

Then, there was the acquisition,
From Mons, M.T.I. created in September 2000 in Mons and
Subsequently GENIE ROUTE bought the Gaurain garage for civil engineering and
service to our customers in Western Hainaut.

Our main activity is the sale and maintenance of VOLVO TRUCK and
FUSO equipment, therefore from 3.5 Tonnes to 200 Tonnes and in civil engineering, VOLVO CE
and BOBCAT and VOLVO PENTA equipment which Ari takes care of, industrial and marine engines.

Our workshops are integrated into many disciplines to provide an
optimum service in all the techniques used in our trucks and machines.

Let's not forget the 4th heavy goods vehicle service point in our sector, the JEAN-YVES GUERIN garage in Bailleux, which is active in the Chimay boot and
Volvo TRUCKS EUROPA approved and FUSO service.

Every 50 km, there is a workshop at your service, 6 days a week, with
staff trained and educated by VOLVO and FUSO, in an annual program, very
followed which assures you competence, efficiency, diligence in the interventions.

We cover a sector, entrusted by VOLVO TRUCK and FUSO, which goes from Mouscron
to Hastière, to Spy, Louvain-La-Neuve, Enghien, Lessines ...
It is a large sector: Hainaut, a third of Namur and the south of Walloon Brabant.

Belgium which, in Ghent, has been assembling VOLVO chassis since 1964, a factory that is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, 46,724 vehicles per year, including 1,777 for Belgium. It is the only heavy goods vehicle factory established and the main one in the VOLVO group in terms of production capacity.

GENIE ROUTE viert in 2024 haar 80-jarig jubileum. Een familiebedrijf, de Duponts.

Het woord wordt gegeven aan de president en directeur Guy Dupont, de 3e generatie van de naam, de vierde al verzorgd door de kinderen Ari & Guillaume Dupont.

COGETRA, opgericht door mijn grootvader Jean en mijn vader, Roger, op 10.10.1944 in
Velaines, dat in 1948 COGETRINA werd toen vader met transport begon
Italië... en werd GRAND GARAGE DU NORD, toen mijn vader dat wilde
zet de auto- en vrachtwagengarageactiviteit voor VOLVO voort en verkoopt het bedrijf door
en internationale transportvergunningen aan Fernand DUFOUR, grootvader van de directeuren in 1960.

Maar voor alle duidelijkheid: het was in 1954 dat het bedrijf en mijn familie Velaines verlieten
voor Doornik met de hulp van Maurice Chaval.

In 1965 bouwde papa samen met mijn schoonvader Henri Lechantre een autogarage op het stationsterrein.

In 1989 kochten we de grond, hier Chaussée de Bruxelles, en ik bouwde deze garage in 1996... ingehuldigd op 13 maart 1998.

Bovenal wil ik u vertellen hoeveel voldoening en plezier u ons schenkt,
aan onze familie, maar ook aan al het personeel van onze drie groepsmaatschappijen
DUPONT ... namelijk vandaag 99 mensen verspreid over de 4 sites, waarvan 23
mensen hier bij GGN actief.

Waarom Charleroi?
In 1969 wilde mijn vader 16 vrachtwagens verkopen aan CCB, zijn vriend Jacques Plaquet,
voor Charleroi en Louvain La Neuve, nam de concessie van Charleroi over en in 71

Van Bergen, M.T.I. opgericht in september 2000 in Bergen en
Vervolgens kocht GENIE ROUTE de Gaurain-garage voor civiele techniek en
service aan onze klanten in Henegouwen Ouest.

Onze hoofdactiviteit is de verkoop en het onderhoud van VOLVO TRUCK-apparatuur en
FUSO daarom van 3,5 ton naar 200 ton en in de civiele techniek VOLVO CE-apparatuur
en BOBCAT en VOLVO PENTA waar Ari voor zorgt, industriële en scheepsmotoren.

Onze werkplaatsen zijn geïntegreerd in vele disciplines om een ​​service te bieden

Zij geloven erin en wij ook om u te blijven dienen en het vertrouwen dat u in ons stelt waar te maken... en u kunt er zeker van zijn dat de volgende generatie er is, moedig, vastberaden en klaar om de uitdaging van de toekomst aan te gaan. ..maar ja, na 80 jaar VOLVO zullen we volhouden, dankzij jullie, lieve klanten, lieve vrienden en aan een fabriek hier in
België dat in Gent al sinds 1964 VOLVO-chassis assembleert, een fabriek die dit jaar zijn 60ste verjaardag viert, 46.724 voertuigen per jaar, waarvan 1.777 voor België. Het is de enige fabriek voor zware vrachtwagens en qua productiecapaciteit de belangrijkste binnen de VOLVO-groep.
