CMSE est la première en France à utiliser la nouvelle pelle sur chenilles Liebherr R 992 pour l'extraction de roches dans sa carrière de Saint-Pons-de-Thomières.
La R 992 fait partie des nouvelles pelles sur chenilles Liebherr de génération 5.2 et 6.2, conçues pour remplacer les anciens modèles et réduire la consommation de carburant.
La R 992 est équipée de dispositifs tels que des protections de tige de piston, un train de roulement HD et un godet HDV de 5,20 m³, ce qui la rend adaptée à l'extraction du quartzite bleu.
La machine est équipée des systèmes d'assistance au remplissage du godet (BFA) et d'efficacité énergétique (LPE) de Liebherr, qui améliorent les performances et réduisent la consommation de carburant de 10 %.
CMSE, filiale de Colas France, exploite 40 carrières et a choisi le R 992 pour ses performances robustes et ses faibles émissions, en ligne avec ses objectifs environnementaux.

CMSE (Carrières & Matériaux Sud-Est) utilise la pelle sur chenilles R 992 pour extraire des roches dans sa carrière de Saint-Pons-de-Thomières (France). L'entreprise est le premier client en France à acquérir une pelle sur chenilles nouvelle génération. Cette machine de 94 tonnes est spécialement équipée pour les travaux d'extraction. Les améliorations et innovations technologiques de la gamme garantissent performances et polyvalence sur le terrain.
Les pelles sur chenilles Liebherr de génération 5.2 et 6.2, dans la gamme de 70 à 100 tonnes, ont été dévoilées au public lors du dernier Bauma. Les modèles R 972, R 978 SME, R 992 et R 998 SME remplacent respectivement les modèles R 966, R 970 SME, R 976 et R 980 SME. Ces nouvelles pelles, développées avec un accent particulier sur la réduction de la consommation de carburant, présentent également d'autres améliorations, telles que des données de performances améliorées, un confort de conduite optimal et de nouvelles fonctions d'assistance à l'opérateur.
Conditions de travail difficiles dans l’extraction du quartzite bleu
L’extraction de roches en carrières constitue la mission principale du R 992 sur le site de CMSE (Carrières & Matériaux Sud-Est). La force de dent élevée, la fiabilité et la précision de la machine sont des garanties de qualité dans cette application exigeante. Il est spécialement équipé de protections de tige de piston, d'un train de roulement HD et d'un godet HDV de 5,20 m3 avec rails de guidage pour une boule tombante. Le godet est spécialement renforcé, car la grande abrasivité du creusement du quartzite bleu, le produit principal de cette carrière, exige un outil de coupe spécifiquement adapté. Après le dynamitage, l'excavatrice charge des morceaux de roche dans les trois camions-bennes qui transportent le matériau jusqu'à la station de concassage.

La R 992, comme tous les modèles de la nouvelle génération, est équipée du système d'assistance Bucket Fill Assist (BFA) et du système Liebherr Power Efficiency – Engine Control (LPE). CSME utilise le BFA pour un niveau de remplissage du godet plus élevé et une pénétration optimale dans la roche. Ce système améliore le confort de l'opérateur en réduisant les vibrations et réduit la consommation de carburant de 10 %. À moins de 60 litres par heure, la consommation actuelle de carburant de la pelle est inférieure à celle de la pelle précédente. CMSE apprécie également le système Liebherr Power Efficiency – Engine Control (LPE), qui permet un contrôle optimal de la puissance de la machine. Il régule activement le régime moteur et l’angle d’inclinaison des pompes hydrauliques.

The R 992 is part of Liebherr’s new Generation 5.2 and 6.2 crawler excavators, designed to replace older models and reduce fuel consumption.

CMSE (Carrières & Matériaux Sud-Est) uses the R 992 crawler excavator to extract rocks at its quarry at Saint-Pons-de-Thomières (France). The company is the first customer in France to acquire a new-generation crawler excavator. This 94 tonne machine is specially equipped for extraction work. Liebherr’s Generation 5.2 and 6.2 crawler excavators, in the 70–100 tonne range, were inveiled to the public at the last Bauma. The R 972, R 978 SME, R 992 and R 998 SME models replace the R 966, R 970 SME, R 976 and R 980 SME models respectively. These new excavators, developed with a particular focus on reducing fuel consumption, also feature other improvements, such as enhanced performance data, optimal operator comfort and new operator assistance functions.
Challenging working conditions in the extraction of blue quartzite
Extracting rock in quarries is the R 992’s main task at the site of CMSE (Carrières & Matériaux Sud-Est). The machine’s high tooth force, reliability and precision are guarantees of quality in this challenging application. It is specially equipped with piston rod guards, an HD undercarriage and a 5.20 m3 HDV bucket with guide rails for a drop ball. The bucket is specially reinforced, as the high abrasiveness of digging blue quartzite, the primary product from this quarry, demands a specifically adapted cutting tool. After blasting, the excavator loads lumps of rock into the three dump trucks that take the material to the crushing station.
The Colas R 992 crawler excavator is specially equipped for the client’s application.
The R 992, like all models of the new generation, comes with the Bucket Fill Assist (BFA) assistance system and the Liebherr Power Efficiency – Engine Control (LPE) system. CSME uses BFA for a higher bucket filling level and optimal penetration into the rock. This system improves operator comfort by reducing vibration and reduces fuel consumption by 10%. At less than 60 litres per hour, the excavator’s current fuel consumption is lower than that of their previous excavator. CMSE also appreciates the Liebherr Power Efficiency – Engine Control (LPE) system, which provides optimal control of machine power. It actively regulates engine speed and the hydraulic pumps’ angle of inclination.

The Saint-Pons-de-Thomières quarry, where the R 992 is in operation, produces, distributes and sells aggregates for public works construction sites and has previously supplied materials for race car tracks in France and other countries. The choice of a Liebherr Generation 6.2 excavator was based on the customer’s wish to acquire a robust, high-performance machine with low fuel consumption. As a holder of the UNICEM Cap Environment label, the CMSE is particularly keen to reduce CO2 emissions across its entire fleet.

CMSE is de eerste in Frankrijk die de nieuwe Liebherr R 992 rupsgraafmachine gebruikt voor steenwinning in de steengroeve van Saint-Pons-de-Thomières.
De R 992 maakt deel uit van Liebherr’s nieuwe generatie 5.2 en 6.2 rupsgraafmachines, ontworpen om oudere modellen te vervangen en het brandstofverbruik te verminderen.
De R 992 is uitgerust met onder meer zuigerstangbeschermers, een HD-onderstel en een HDV-bak van 5,20 m³, waardoor hij geschikt is voor de winning van blauwkwartsiet.

Met minder dan 60 liter per uur is het huidige brandstofverbruik van de graafmachine lager dan dat van zijn vorige graafmachine. CMSE waardeert ook het Liebherr Power Efficiency – Engine Control (LPE)-systeem, dat optimale controle over het machinevermogen biedt. Het regelt actief het motortoerental en de hellingshoek van de hydraulische pompen.
