Le Groupe Fayat va acquérir Mecalac

Deux groupes français d’équipements de construction unissent leurs forces suite à l’annonce par le Groupe Fayat de la signature d’un accord pour l’acquisition de Mecalac.

La transaction est soumise à l’approbation réglementaire des autorités de la concurrence compétentes et devrait être finalisée d’ici la fin du premier semestre 2025.

« Nous sommes heureux d’annoncer que les groupes Fayat et Mecalac ont signé un accord pour l’acquisition du Groupe Mecalac par le Groupe Fayat », ont déclaré Alexandre Marchetta, Président-directeur général du Groupe Mecalac, et Henri Marchetta, Fondateur et Président du Groupe Mecalac dans une lettre commune.

« Dans l’intervalle, le Groupe Mecalac continue de fonctionner comme d’habitude et reste déterminé à soutenir ses clients et partenaires dans le monde entier. »

La lettre précise également qu’une fois la transaction finalisée, les deux groupes travailleront pour assurer une transition en douceur.

Mecalac, ou « Mécanique du Lac », a été fondée en 1974 à Annecy-le-Vieux, en France. Marchetta acquiert le groupe PEL-JOB et en devient le président en 1990. Le groupe comprend trois usines en France : Mecalac à Annecy, Pel-Job à Belley et Hydromo à Albens.

Fayat Group to acquire Mecalac

Two French construction equipment groups are joining forces following the Fayat Group’s announcement that it has signed an agreement to acquire Mecalac.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval by the relevant competition authorities and is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2025.

“We are pleased to announce that the Fayat and Mecalac groups have signed an agreement for the acquisition of the Mecalac Group by the Fayat Group,” Alexandre Marchetta, Chairman and CEO of the Mecalac Group, and Henri Marchetta, Founder and President of the Mecalac Group said in a joint letter.

“In the meantime, the Mecalac Group continues to operate as usual, and remains committed to supporting its customers and partners around the world.”

The letter also notes that once the transaction is finalized, both groups will work to ensure a seamless transition.

Twee Franse bouwmachinesgroepen bundelen hun krachten nadat de Fayat Group aankondigde een overeenkomst te hebben getekend om Mecalac over te nemen.

De transactie is onderworpen aan goedkeuring door de relevante mededingingsautoriteiten en zal naar verwachting tegen het einde van de eerste helft van 2025 worden afgerond.
