La Qiddiya Investment Company, basée en Arabie Saoudite, construira le seul parc à thème Dragon Ball au monde dans le cadre du mégaprojet de Qiddiya City.

Qiddiya City est une nouvelle ville à l'extérieur de la capitale saoudienne Riyad qui offrira des attractions de divertissement, sportives et culturelles aux côtés de communautés résidentielles abritant 600 000 personnes.

Le nouveau parc à thème de 500 000 m² sera basé sur la célèbre série animée japonaise Dragon Ball.

Il sera divisé en sept zones différentes qui recréent les lieux de la série originale, notamment Kame House, Capsule Corporation et Beerus's Planet.

Le parc à thème proposera également cinq manèges « ultramodernes » faisant partie d’une gamme de 30 attractions.

Il y aura également un dragon de 70 m de haut, appelé Shenron, qui contient des montagnes russes.

Le parc à thème est le dernier d'une série de grands projets de construction annoncés pour la ville de Qiddiya. En janvier, le cabinet d’architecture Populous a dévoilé les plans d’un nouveau stade ambitieux, appelé Stade Mohammed Bin Salman, au sommet de la falaise de Tuwaiq, haute de 200 mètres, qui est proposé comme l’un des sites de candidature du Royaume pour la Coupe du monde 2034.

Saudi Arabia-based Qiddiya Investment Company will build the world’s only Dragon Ball theme park within the Qiddiya City megaproject.

Qiddiya City is a new city outside of the Saudi capital of Riyadh that will offer entertainment, sports and culture attractions alongside residential communities housing 600,000 people.

The new 500,000 sq m theme park will be based on the well-known Japanese animated series Dragon Ball.

It will be split into seven different areas that recreate locales from the original series including Kame House, Capsule Corporation, and Beerus’s Planet.

The theme park will also feature five ‘state-of-the-art’ rides as part of a line-up of 30 attractions.

There will also be a 70m-high dragon, called Shenron, that contains a rollercoaster within it.

The theme park is the latest in a series of major construction projects announced for Qiddiya City. In January, architecture firm Populous revealed designs for an ambitious new stadium there, called Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium, on top of the 200m-high Tuwaiq cliff, that is proposed as one of the venues for the Kingdom’s 2034 World Cup bid.

De in Saudi-Arabië gevestigde Qiddiya Investment Company gaat het enige Dragon Ball-themapark ter wereld bouwen binnen het megaproject Qiddiya City.

Qiddiya City is een nieuwe stad buiten de Saoedische hoofdstad Riyadh, die entertainment, sport en cultuurattracties zal bieden naast woongemeenschappen met 600.000 inwoners.

Het nieuwe themapark van 500.000 m² zal gebaseerd zijn op de bekende Japanse animatieserie Dragon Ball.

Het wordt opgesplitst in zeven verschillende gebieden die locaties uit de originele serie nabootsen, waaronder Kame House, Capsule Corporation en Beerus’s Planet.
