Le 13 juin, Bobcat Company a organisé une cérémonie d'inauguration des travaux de sa nouvelle usine de fabrication de 300 millions de dollars au Mexique.

Située dans la municipalité de Salinas Victoria, à l'extérieur de Monterrey, dans l'État de Neuvo Leon, la société a déclaré que le nouveau projet de 700 000 pieds carrés. L'usine étendra sa présence mondiale existante pour créer une capacité de production et des capacités de fabrication supplémentaires pour certains modèles de chargeuses compactes sur chenilles et compactes. L'installation cherchera à obtenir la certification LEED Argent et sera dotée d'une technologie de pointe mettant l'accent sur la qualité, la précision et l'efficacité énergétique, ajoute l'annonce.

L'équipe de conception de la nouvelle installation comprend la société américaine Shultz + Associates Architects et la société mexicaine GP Construcción, une division du Grupo GP, en tant que directeur de la construction. Shultz + Associates Architects s'est associé à Bobcat pour la conception et l'architecture de plusieurs de ses sites nord-américains. GP Construcción se spécialise dans les parcs et installations industriels à travers le Mexique.

La nouvelle usine, dont la mise en service est prévue en 2026, devrait créer 600 à 800 emplois dans la région. Les chargeuses compactes Bobcat sont également produites aux États-Unis et en République tchèque, où la production se poursuivra après l'ouverture de la nouvelle usine.

On June 13, Bobcat Company held a ceremonial groundbreaking for its new $300 million manufacturing facility in Mexico.

Located in the Salinas Victoria municipality, outside of Monterrey in the state of Neuvo Leon, the company said the new 700,000-sq.-ft. facility will expand its existing global footprint to create additional production capacity and manufacturing capabilities for select compact track and skid-steer loader models. The facility will seek LEED Silver certification and feature state-of-the-art technology with an emphasis on quality, precision and energy efficiency, the announcement added.

Scott Park, Doosan Bobcat CEO and vice chairman, said the company has seen significant growth and the new facility will support long-range plans to increase production to meet customer demand. “This groundbreaking represents our commitment to our customers — present and future — who are ready to accomplish more with our equipment,” he noted.

“We look forward to growing our manufacturing footprint in the Salinas Victoria community for its excellent industrial sector, skilled workforce and strong business environment,” said Mike Ballweber, Doosan Bobcat North America president. “Our investment here demonstrates our confidence in this manufacturing environment and thriving local economy.”

The design team for the new facility includes U.S.-based Shultz + Associates Architects and Mexico-based GP Construcción, a division of Grupo GP, as the construction manager. Shultz + Associates Architects has partnered with Bobcat on the design and architecture of many of its North American locations. GP Construcción specializes in industrial parks and facilities across Mexico.

The new factory, scheduled to be operational in 2026, is expected to create 600 to 800 jobs in the region. Bobcat compact loaders are also produced in the U.S. and the Czech Republic, where production will remain following the new facility opening.

Op 13 juni hield Bobcat Company een ceremoniële eerste steenlegging voor haar nieuwe productiefaciliteit ter waarde van $300 miljoen in Mexico.

Gevestigd in de gemeente Salinas Victoria, buiten Monterrey in de staat Neuvo Leon, zei het bedrijf dat de nieuwe 700.000 vierkante meter grote ruimte zal worden ingericht. De fabriek zal haar bestaande mondiale voetafdruk uitbreiden om extra productiecapaciteit en productiemogelijkheden te creëren voor bepaalde compacte rups- en schrankladermodellen. De faciliteit zal een LEED Silver-certificering nastreven en beschikken over de modernste technologie met de nadruk op kwaliteit, precisie en energie-efficiëntie, aldus de aankondiging.

Het ontwerpteam voor de nieuwe faciliteit bestaat uit het in de VS gevestigde Shultz + Associates Architects en het in Mexico gevestigde GP Construcción, een divisie van Grupo GP, als bouwmanager. Shultz + Associates Architects werkt samen met Bobcat aan het ontwerp en de architectuur van veel van zijn Noord-Amerikaanse locaties. GP Construcción is gespecialiseerd in industrieparken en faciliteiten in heel Mexico.

De nieuwe fabriek, die in 2026 operationeel moet zijn, zal naar verwachting 600 tot 800 banen in de regio creëren. Bobcat compactladers worden ook geproduceerd in de VS en Tsjechië, waar de productie zal blijven voortduren na de opening van de nieuwe fabriek.
