Manitou Group, référence mondiale de la manutention, de l’élévation de personnes et du terrassement, fête les 30 ans de sa filiale Manitou Benelux basée à Perwez en
Belgique. Troisième filiale du groupe fondée en 1991 après le Royaume-Uni et l’Italie, elle apporte
toute son expertise technique et commerciale auprès de l’ensemble des concessionnaires Manitou et
Gehl basés en Belgique, aux Pays-Bas et au Luxembourg.

Une stratégie de diversification
En 1991, Manitou Group s’implante au Benelux sous le nom de Mantrec (contraction de Manitou & du
distributeur local Treco) dans la ville de Namur. En 1996, Manitou Group en rachète les parts de Treco
et change son nom en Manitou Benelux. S’ensuit un fort développement avec la distribution de
nacelles élévatrices et des chariots télescopiques rotatifs. En 2002, la société s’installe à Perwez
(Belgique) afin de mieux desservir l’ensemble de la zone couverte.
Un maillage de proximité
Manitou Benelux enregistre une forte évolution de son chiffre d’affaires entre 2010 et 2021 grâce à
l’expertise de son réseau constitué de plus de 20 concessionnaires, et une demande particulièrement
stimulée par la présence de loueurs et grands comptes historiques sur cette zone géographique. “Nous
distribuons depuis 30 ans des solutions de qualité, à destination des marchés de la construction, de
l’agriculture et des industries. Notre réseau de concessionnaires est une force avec de véritables experts
répondant précisément aux besoins des clients avec une offre de services adaptée à chaque utilisateur.

Une démarche RSE affirmée
Manitou Benelux s’inscrit pleinement dans la démarche RSE de Manitou Group avec de nombreuses
initiatives comme la mise en place de panneaux photovoltaïques en 2016, puis l’augmentation de la
part de véhicules électriques de son parc. Manitou Benelux a plus récemment mis en place une
plantation de près de 400 m de haies permettant de neutraliser 29 tonnes d'émissions de CO2 sur une
base annuelle.

Manitou Group, a world leader in material handling, personnel lifting and earthmoving, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Manitou Benelux subsidiary based in Perwez in
Belgium. Third subsidiary of the group founded in 1991 after the United Kingdom and Italy, it provides
all its technical and commercial expertise with all Manitou dealers and
Gehl based in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

A diversification strategy
In 1991, Manitou Group established itself in Benelux under the name of Mantrec (contraction of Manitou & du
local Treco distributor) in the city of Namur. In 1996, Manitou Group bought the shares of Treco
and changes its name to Manitou Benelux. Strong development followed with the distribution of
aerial work platforms and rotating telehandlers. In 2002, the company moved to Perwez
(Belgium) in order to better serve the entire area covered.
A local network
Manitou Benelux records a strong increase in its turnover between 2010 and 2021 thanks to
the expertise of its network made up of more than 20 dealers, and a particularly
stimulated by the presence of rental companies and large historical accounts in this geographical area. "We
have been distributing quality solutions for 30 years for the construction,
agriculture and industries. Our dealer network is a strength with real experts
responding precisely to the needs of customers with a range of services adapted to each user.

A strong CSR approach
Manitou Benelux is fully in line with Manitou Group's CSR approach with numerous
initiatives such as the installation of photovoltaic panels in 2016, then the increase in
share of electric vehicles in its fleet. Manitou Benelux has more recently set up a
planting of nearly 400 m of hedges making it possible to neutralize 29 tonnes of CO2 emissions over a
annual basis.

Manitou Group, een wereldreferentie in material handling, lifting en grondverzet, viert het 30-jarig jubileum van zijn Manitou Benelux-dochteronderneming gevestigd in Perwez in
België. Derde dochteronderneming van de groep, opgericht in 1991 na het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Italië, brengt
al zijn technische en commerciële expertise bij alle Manitou-dealers en
Gehl gevestigd in België, Nederland en Luxemburg.

distribueren al 30 jaar kwaliteitsoplossingen voor de bouw,
landbouw en industrie. Ons dealernetwerk is een sterk punt met echte experts
precies inspelen op de behoeften van klanten met een reeks diensten aangepast aan elke gebruiker.

Een sterke MVO-aanpak
Manitou Benelux sluit volledig aan bij de MVO-aanpak van Manitou Group met tal van
initiatieven zoals de installatie van fotovoltaïsche panelen in 2016, daarna de toename van
aandeel elektrische voertuigen in het wagenpark. Manitou Benelux heeft recentelijk een
aanplant van bijna 400 m hagen waardoor 29 ton CO2-uitstoot over een tijd kan worden geneutraliseerd
op jaarbasis.
