Merlo présentera à Bauma la nouvelle gamme ROTO, avec les modèles ROTO50.18S, ROTO60.22R et ROTO60.35SPlus.

Les nouveaux véhicules ROTO sont les plus légers et les plus compacts de leur catégorie, avec des performances améliorées, une fiabilité et de nouvelles fonctions.

La gamme comprend des modèles à rotation continue et des versions « R » simplifiées conçues pour le marché de la location.

Les fonctions électroniques mises à jour comprennent une vitesse de flèche plus douce, un « Set-point » pour le positionnement automatique de la flèche et des mouvements cartésiens pour un contrôle précis.

Merlo présentera à la Bauma de Munich, le plus grand salon mondial des machines pour le bâtiment, des matériaux de construction et de l'industrie minière, la nouvelle gamme ROTO. L'entreprise, dont le siège social se trouve à Cuneo mais qui compte sept filiales à l'étranger et un réseau de distribution de plus de 80 importateurs et 600 revendeurs, présentera notamment trois modèles au salon qui se tiendra du 7 au 13 avril : ROTO50.18S, ROTO60.22R et ROTO60.35SPlus.

Le travail effectué sur la nouvelle gamme ROTO en termes de performances, de fiabilité et de nouvelles fonctions répond aux besoins spécifiques du marché, en mettant toujours l'accent sur la sécurité et la qualité absolue des produits proposés. De plus, une nouvelle radiocommande de dernière génération a été introduite pour garantir l'utilisation des nouvelles fonctions dans n'importe quel contexte opérationnel (depuis la cabine, la nacelle et depuis le sol).

Performances. Ce ne sont pas seulement la capacité (mille kilos) et la hauteur maximale de levage (un mètre) qui ont été augmentées. L'ensemble du diagramme de charge des machines a été mis à jour. De nombreux composants de la machine ont été repensés (dont la flèche télescopique), les circuits hydrauliques et électroniques ont été mis à jour et le châssis de la machine a été renouvelé pour atteindre ces niveaux de performances. Pour répondre aux besoins du marché de la location, Merlo a conçu la version « R » : même puissance et fiabilité que les versions « SPlus », mais avec une conception simplifiée gestion, parfaite pour les utilisateurs occasionnels. Une innovation qui allie performance, simplicité d'utilisation et un positionnement prix adapté à ce marché.

De nombreuses mises à jour ont été apportées aux fonctions électroniques de la machine pour améliorer l'expérience de l'utilisateur.

Le premier changement a concerné la vitesse de la flèche, qui a toujours été le point fort des modèles Merlo Rotating, pour la rendre plus fluide et plus linéaire.

Une autre innovation importante est l'introduction de « Set-point », une fonction qui permet à la flèche de revenir automatiquement à un point préalablement mémorisé à vitesse maximale et en toute sécurité. Cela réduit la charge de travail de l'opérateur lors des opérations répétitives.

L'opérateur peut effectuer des opérations complexes d'un seul mouvement de la main grâce à l'introduction des mouvements cartésiens, une fonction qui maintient automatiquement une trajectoire verticale des accessoires pendant les mouvements de montée et de descente ou une trajectoire horizontale pendant l'extension et la rétraction.

La fonction de simulation du diagramme de charge permet à l'opérateur de savoir à l'avance si une manœuvre est réalisable ou non, simplement en simulant la variation des paramètres de fonctionnement (outil utilisé, charge transportée, position du stabilisateur, etc.).

La machine peut également être commandée à distance (avec une vitesse maximale de 5 km/h). Cela permet aux clients Merlo de gérer les mouvements et les phases de stabilisation de la machine à distance ou depuis la nacelle, optimisant ainsi le temps de travail.

De plus, plusieurs autres fonctionnalités ont été développées pour améliorer l'utilisation quotidienne de la machine.

Le nouveau système de radiocommande breveté est non seulement plus ergonomique, mais fournit également plus d'informations à l'opérateur, lui permettant de contrôler totalement la machine et d'anticiper les situations anormales ou dangereuses, garantissant ainsi une plus grande sécurité.

At Bauma in Munich - the world´s largest trade fair for construction machinery, building materials and the mining industry - Merlo will present the new ROTO range. In particular, the company - based in Cuneo but with seven foreign branches and a distribution network of over 80 importers and 600 dealers - will present three models at the trade fair scheduled for 7 to 13 April: ROTO50.18S, ROTO60.22R and ROTO60.35SPlus.

The work carried out on the new ROTO range in terms of performance, reliability and new functions meets specific market needs, always focusing on the safety and absolute quality of the products offered. Furthermore, a new state-of-the-art radio control has been introduced to ensure the use of the new functions in any operating context (from the cab, aerial work platform and from the ground).

Performance. It´s not just the capacity (one thousand kilograms) and the maximum lift height (one metre) that have been increased. The entire load diagram of the machines has been upgraded. Many machine components have been redesigned (including the telescopic boom), hydraulic and electronic circuits updated, and the machine chassis renewed to achieve these performance levels. The new ROTO machines are still the lightest and most compact in their category. This has many advantages for the daily work on the construction site. All new ROTO machines can also reach speeds of 40 km/h (except where specific approvals or regulations of individual countries apply).

To meet the needs of the rental market, Merlo has designed the “R” version: same power and reliability as the “SPlus” versions, but with simplified management, perfect for occasional users. An innovation that combines performance, ease of use and a price positioning tailored to this market.

Many updates have been made to the electronic functions of the machine to improve the user experience.

The first change involved the boom speed, which has always been the strength of the Merlo Rotating models, to make it smoother and more linear.

Another important innovation is the introduction of “Set-point”, a function that allows the boom to automatically return to a previously memorised point at maximum speed and in maximum safety. This reduces the operator´s workload during repetitive operations.

The operator can carry out complex operations with a single hand movement thanks to the introduction of Cartesian movements, a function that automatically maintains a vertical trajectory of the attachments during up and down movements or a horizontal trajectory during extension and retraction.

The load diagram simulation function allows the operator to know beforehand whether a manoeuvre is feasible or not, simply by simulating the variation of operating parameters (implement used, load carried, stabiliser position, etc.).

The machine can also be remotely controlled (with a maximum speed of 5 km/h). This allows Merlo customers to manage the machine´s movements and stabilisation phases from a distance or from the aerial work platform, thus optimising working time.

In addition, several other features have been developed to improve the day-to-day use of the machine.

The new patented radio control system is not only more ergonomic, but also provides the operator with more information, giving him total control of the machine and anticipating abnormal or dangerous situations, guaranteeing greater safety.

For ease of use, if the machine is blocked, the background of the display changes colour to show only the movements that can be made to return to a safe working condition. This is an absolute novelty. No one else on the market can offer it.
